It’s finally here - the launch weekend for PST ART: Art and Science Collide!!! The region is animated with museum exhibitions, gallery shows and all kinds of related programs. It’s an exciting time to be in this part of the world because of all the activities and because the subject lends itself to conversations about the issue of our times - climate change. As one of three Community Hubs along with La Plaza de Cultura y Artes and Lancaster Museum of Art and History, we have a special role to engage our neighbors in the dialogue.
With our project We Are the Harvest, we have engaged hundreds of people in exploring agriculture, activism, and connection to land in South LA and beyond. At spaces like community gardens, we have observed immediate impact from this engagement including enhanced mental wellness, deepened connections between people and, build community, and uplift local food production.
