Honoring Lead Artist Jasser Membreno

This month, we're honoring the incredible work of Latino artist Jasser Membreno and the vibrant community that came together to create the Stop the Hate mural in MacArthur Park.

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering understanding and inclusivity, we engaged children, families, and community members connected to MacArthur Park Elementary School to share their stories. These powerful narratives inspired two talented artists and their youth collaborators to design a mural that reflects the heart and soul of the community.

Jasser Membreno, a Los Angeles native, is not only a gifted muralist but also a designer and teacher. With a passion for using art as a catalyst for change, he skillfully employs creative tools to encourage reflection and meaningful transformation. His leadership in the Stop the Hate project was instrumental in creating a powerful visual representation of the community's values.

Join us for the Mural Unveiling!

On Saturday, October 19th, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, we invite you to join us for the public unveiling of the Stop the Hate Mural at MacArthur Park Elementary School. This event will celebrate the hard work and dedication of everyone involved and showcase the mural's inspiring message.

We believe that art has the power to unite, inspire, and create a more compassionate world. Let's come together to celebrate the beauty and impact of the Stop the Hate mural and honor the talented artists behind it.
