Events and Festivals
We uplift the stories and voices of diverse community members. One of our most powerful ways to do this is by partnering with organizations who share this goal.
We train and collaborate with local teaching artists and youth to bring engaging workshops to festivals and community events, offering a unique pathway for these institutions to invest in youth and artists throughout Los Angeles. Activities are designed to weave in place-based storytelling, creative expression and cultural connection and often include engaging materials and interactive installations.
Workshops
LA Commons partners with organizations throughout Los Angeles County to bring workshops that engage community members, arts and cultural activities. From creating masks and seed balls to crafting with stencils and naturals, these participatory engagements are designed by our roster of local artists to encourage community dialogue, cultural connection and creative expression. LA Commons’ workshops are staffed with trained youth from our programs, furthering our commitment to creative workforce development for young people.

Installations
LA Commons produces temporary art installations and interactive experiences that engage and inspire people to connect more deeply to Los Angeles and each other. From photography installations to interactive art displays, story sharing lounges, and mapping activities, we work with emerging and established artists to curate experiences tailored to the specific needs of our partner sites and communities.
